Max Clendaniel is an award winning comedy director & writer whose work has played at BFI, LADbible, British Comedy Guide and Pulped.

Max's scripts led to numerous projects including writing a TV pilot as part of the BBC Writersroom scheme. His short script, ‘Sinking Ship’ made the semi finals of the BBC Interconnected competition which had almost 7,000 applicants.

His sketch, ‘Scream Box’ made with the sketch group, Box of Charms, won the British Comedy Guide Video Contest. His follow up sketch, ‘WrkOut’ was a finalist for the Chorts! competition with Comedy Crowd and shortlisted for the BCG Production Awards.

He would continue to collaborate on more sketches working with the comedy duo, Bab. Their sketch, ‘Where’s Your Bag?’ won the Comedy Shorts Award at the Funny Women Awards and premiered at London Short Film Festival.

He’s recently finished directing/co-writing 40 sketches for Pulped which has accrued over 3 million views.

His newest short, ‘Fluff’ won the audience award at the BIFA qualifying Sunderland Film Festival.
